Delete Your ClassMate Account

You can request deletion of your ClassMate account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how.

How to request deletion

Email aboudtony22@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, with:

Subject line: Delete my ClassMate account
Body: your full name and the email address or username you sign in with

We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Most ClassMate accounts are created by a school administrator. If your school created your account, please also notify your school admin so they can remove you from class rosters and group chats.

What we delete

When we process your deletion request, we permanently remove:

Your name, email, phone number, and any other profile data
Messages you have sent in 1:1 or group chats (the messages will be marked as "deleted by user" for other participants)
Assignments, exam answers, and submissions you authored
NOVA AI tutor chat history
Practice session history and learning analytics
Subscription and token-balance records linked to your account

What we retain

For legal and audit reasons we retain the following for up to 7 years after deletion:

Anonymized billing records (tax compliance) — your name and email are stripped, but the transaction amount and date are kept
Anonymized audit logs of admin actions affecting other users (we keep the action, but the actor is replaced with a generic "deleted user" tag)

Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you (e.g. total minutes spent in NOVA across all users) are retained indefinitely.
